60099 passes Uffington in atrocious light on 19 December 2013 with the 6B33 13:00 Theale to Robeston Murco oil empties. The day had started sunny, and up until mid afternoon was still bright. However, it then rapidly went down hill with a bank of cloud coming in from the west. If it wasn't for the fact that it was a silver 60 on this train, I would definitely have gone home, as the light level was so poor. I suppose it does give one final chance to get a picture of a train passing the former station hotel, before the wires go up and ruin the scene forever. |
