Coronation Class 4-6-2 6233 Duchess of Sutherland passes Uffington on 22 November 2022 with the Railway Touring Company 1Z80 08:22 Victoria to Cardiff Central (via Gloucester) 'Cardiff Christmas Express' railtour. This was running 84 minutes late, after a massively extended stop in the loop at Challow. This was caused by the driver's paperwork giving an incorrect stopping position to take water, with the result that the train had to reverse back up the relief line. This wasn't a problem, as 47813 was on the rear. The 47 also seemed to be working hard here, presumably helping the Duchess to make up some time! The late running was actually a bonus, as the light was much better than at the booked time.
