Keen to catch the last of the autumn colours, I trekked across the fields to where the railway crosses the River Cherwell near Tackley. With hawthorn berries and a rustic gate completing the rural scene, 66138 rolls by with the 4O16 09:16 Ditton to Southampton Western Docks intermodal service.
