After being closed for an unbelievable nine months, the reconstructed Fulscot Bridge near South Moreton (Didcot East) was opened on 29 August 2014. Although the middle of the bridge has the usual impossibly high parapet, the sides are fairly low. Although electrification will soon ruin the location for photographers, at present the spot is actually slightly better than before, as there is now a pavement to stand on, out of the way of the traffic.
