66603 approaches Circourt Bridge, Denchworth, on 7 October 2023 with the 6B91 12:15 Hayes & Harlington to East Usk Yard stone empties. This was running 62 minutes early, but very shortly it would be running 98 minutes early, as it is on the down main line, rather than the relief, where it was booked to stop at Challow. This was very much a last resort picture, as the two trains that I had intended to photograph (Blue Pullman HST railtour and RHTT) were both cancelled! It is almost exactly 50 years since I cycled to this location (unfortunately without a decent camera), and saw a procession of Class 47s and 52s, along with some 31s and 50s.
