66604 runs slowly along the down relief line at Circourt Bridge, Denchworth, on 16 January 2024 with the 6C48 12:49 Appleford to Whatley Quarry stone empties. This was not my first choice of location on this particular day. The plan was to go to the Crofton area on the Berks & Hants line for the morning stone trains, and then to Evesham in the afternoon for the 5Q94 08:57 Longsight to Long Marston TransPennine Express stock move. However, it was mostly cloudy in the morning, and I guessed (correctly) that the Crofton area would be in cloud, and then 5Q94 was cancelled! It became sunny later in the day, so I went out for this, although more unforecast cloud soon rolled in from the west.
