66619 Derek W. Johnson MBE & 66550 pass Uffington on 12 November 2024 with the 6A50 06:35 Whatley Quarry to Hanwell Bridge Loop stone train. This was diverted via Swindon due to the Berks & Hants line being closed for engineering works. It was running over an hour late here, but by missing out its booked stop at Iver, it arrived at its destination on time. As this was a dull morning, I decided to take this picture from the north side of the line, which neatly included the autumn colours of the oak tree by the fence.
