A new freight service conveying ballast from Mountsorrel to Eastleigh commenced operation in November 2010, bringing the welcome sight of a GBRf Class 66 to the Oxford area. Although this in no way brings back the traction variety of the good old days, it does at least bring a different coloured 'Shed' to the area! During the second week of operation, 66701 Whitemoor is pictured approaching Kings Sutton in the last weak light of 24 November 2010 with the 6O96 10:25 Mountsorrel to Eastleigh.
