66710 Phil Packer passes the site of Bletchingdon station on 14 March 2011 with the 6O96 10:27 Mountsorrel to Eastleigh ballast, unusually running more or less on time. The bridge that the train is crossing spans both the River Cherwell and the Oxford Canal. Business is certainly booming on the old station site, with constant fork lift activity while I was there. This was something of a problem, as occasionally clouds of coal dust would waft across the line as an over enthusiastic fork lift driver put on a bit of speed! |
