66710 Phil Packer approaches Circourt Bridge, Denchworth, in stunning lighting on 18 January 2018 with the diverted 6V42 08:13 Wellingborough to Whatley Quarry stone empties. This was running well over an hour late, not helped by being held near Cholsey while various passenger trains weaved across onto the relief line, due to the down main being closed at Didcot. This late running resulted in a much better lighting angle, but more importantly meant that it actually passed me in a very surprising patch of sunshine amid an increasingly cloudy afternoon.
