As usual it was more or less on time at Birmingham, but then missed out its booked stops at Dorridge, Fenny Compton and Aynho, and was therefore 62 minutes early here. On this occasion it continued its speedy progress, arriving at Reading 74 minutes ahead of time. From there on there were some delays, and it arrived at Eastleigh just ten minutes early.
