66727 approaches Castor on the Nene Valley Railway with the 2M49 13:48 Peterborough to Wansford service on 1 March 2008, during the line's Diesel Gala. I was very lucky with the sun for this picture, as a large cloud was ominously close to the sun as the train approached. Also it was fortunate that nobody was wandering up the public footpath on the right at the crucial moment. 66727 attracted a good deal of attention during the gala, which does seem slightly odd when there is so much heritage traction around!
