My first picture of one of the several locos (both steam and diesel) that have been painted purple to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. 66734 Platinum Jubilee passes Brimscombe on 4 July 2022 with the diverted 6V32 10:22 Tilbury to Trostre Works steel empties. Typically, having chosen one of the few spots in the Golden Valley that is clear of vegetation, and would have the ideal sun angle, the sun decided to disappear! This is the second loco to carry the number 66734, the first having been cut up after the Loch Treig derailment.
