66748 St. Michael's Mount passes Hungerford Common on 9 August 2025 with the Belmond 5Z66 09:00 Cranmore to Victoria 'Britannic Explorer' ECS. 66708 Glory to Ukraine is bringing up the rear. Instead of heading for London, this train should have been on its way to Cornwall as part of a four day luxury charter. However, after a lavish publicity campaign, the whole 'Britannic Explorer' tour programme descended into farce, as door lock problems on the coaches meant that all the planned trips were cancelled. In view of this, I was keen to get a decent picture of the light blue liveried train, in case the whole operation gets abandoned!
