66791 passes Kemble on 13 August 2023 with the 6Z35 14:21 Ashchurch MoD to Marchwood MoD, conveying 54 containers. This left Ashchurch nearly an hour early, but was held at Gloucester, and was only 9 minutes early here. Apart from the slight colour variation, MoD stores trains don't look a lot different nowadays to a revenue earning freightliner train. I chose this location, not only for the elevated viewpoint, but also because the light angle would be ideal. Unfortunately the intermittent sunshine disappeared as soon as I arrived, and just before the train was due it became extremely dark, and then started to rain!
