66844 dodges the rapidly lengthening shadows, as it arrives at Kemble on 9 January 2011 with the diverted 6O55 13:20 Llanwern to Dollands Moor steel train. With the Severn Tunnel closed for signaling work, the train was routed via Gloucester and the 'Golden Valley' line. It is pictured here slowly approaching the station, where it had to wait for the 13:30 Paddington to Swansea train to clear the single track section from Swindon. Unfortunately, the trees and deep cutting the other side of the station effectively ruled out another picture.
