Owing to 66844 slipping to a stand whilst climbing Sapperton Bank two weeks previously, the diverted 6O55 13:20 Llanwern to Dollands Moor steel train was double headed on 30 January 2011. Nearly half of Colas Rail's Class 66 fleet is pictured here, as 66845 & 66844 pass Standish Junction, unfortunately in a cloudy spell. The train is on the 'Golden Valley' route, having diverged from the Birmingham to Bristol line at Standish Junction, just out of sight around the corner. |
