66848 ambles along the up relief line at Denchworth on 10 June 2014 with the 6M50 07:55 Westbury to Bescot engineers train. I never thought I would be glad to see the return of a Class 66, but after three months of Class 70 haulage, it almost makes it worthwhile going out for the picture again, although not as worthwhile as when some more interesting traction was in charge! The bridge in the background is the well known Circourt Bridge. Notice how the long lens has exaggerated the slightly worrying track alignment on the down relief line, although thankfully not on the main lines. |
