The retimed and diverted 7A09 05:38 Merehead Quarry to Acton Mendip Rail 'Jumbo' stone train should have passed Uffington at 08:51 on 28 February 2023. In reality it passed at 14:43, nearly six hours late. The train was held at Westbury for most of that time. After I noticed it was on the move near Chippenham, I decided to go to Uffington, as the weather was improving. As soon as I got there all trace of the sun disappeared, so 66951 & 59204 are pictured here in atrocious light. The train was terminated at Milton Siding (near Didcot), and continued on it way the following day.
