66951 passes Uffington on 2 April 2011 with the 6V60 11:56 Angerstein Wharf to Stoke Gifford stone empties. Ironically, there is some recent work using non local stone visible in this picture. The area of white material in front of the tree is an attempt to build up the road surface underneath the farm occupation bridge (and public footpath) that passes under the railway here. Notorious for flooding, a good depth of granite boulders have been laid down to provide a stable surface.
