69008 Richard Howe passes Aldington on 3 June 2024 with the 5Q88 05:00 Eastleigh to Long Marston, conveying South Western Railway EMU 701058 for storage. This was running 35 minutes early, as due to GWR's usual poor service, the previous up passenger train had been cancelled, and the next down train was running 13 minutes late, therefore allowing this train's earlier departure from Worcester. The noise of the train has obviously disturbed a Wood Pigeon, which can be seen flying out from the lineside bushes.
