69009 Western Consort approaches Highley on 19 May 2024 with the 16:45 Kidderminster to Highley service, during the Severn Valley Railway's Diesel Gala. Unfortunately this corresponded with a cloud blocking out the sun. A real pity as not only would the light have been prefect, but the staff at the 'Engine House' visitor centre had very kindly agreed to leave the area accessible until the late running train had appeared. Needless to say the sun was out again by the time the rear of the train, with 37409 Loch Awe had passed!
