The pride of Stewarts Lane Depot, 73201 Broadlands passes Woking with the VSOE Pullmans on 15 May 1993. Note the three vans on the right. These constitute 10% of a small class of car train ferry vans based on a standard four wheel CCT van. The 30 vans were built to carry cars across the English Channel on the train ferry. They were withdrawn from ferry use in 1983, and ended up painted in bauxite livery, as departmental vehicles. |
