For many years the curve between Didcot West Curve Junction and Foxhall Junction was primarily a freight only line. In May 2026 GWR reintroduced direct Oxford to Bristol trains, so the tightly curved line once again sees regular passenger trains. 800009 Sir Gareth Edwards rounds the curve on 19 September 2026 with the 1N61 12:02 Oxford to Bristol Temple Meads service. On the right is Network Rail's Thames Valley Signalling Centre, which opened in 2010.
