Class 458 8015 passes Worting Junction on 16 July 2001 with the 07:30 Eastleigh to Waterloo South West Trains service. These units were brand new at the time, but in a scenario that was only going to get worse with new units two decades later, their entry into service had been delayed by a host of problems.
