Note how close the sharp bend on the A419 Cirencester to Stroud road is to the railway, and how little protection there is between the two. St Mary's Crossing gives access to a few buildings on the south side of the valley. The bridge over the disused Thames & Severn Canal can be seen to the right of the white cottage.
