Looking and sounding absolutely superb in the crisp autumnal light, D213 Andania & D345 pass Pandy on 30 October 2021 with the Inter City 1Z40 06:25 Preston to Plymouth 'Devonian Double' railtour. Its been a long time since a pair of Class 40s worked a train on the mainline, and I certainly wasn't going to miss this. Hidden by the bushes at the rear is 47828, which matches the livery of first class Mk3 coaches. The train was a couple of minutes early here, but it was delayed by over an hour after Bristol, due to single line working, caused by flooding at Flax Bourton.
