D400 & 50007 Sir Edward Elgar head south through the Lune Gorge at Dillicar with the returning Rail / Network SouthEast Carlisle to Waterloo 'Carlisle Fifty Farewell' railtour on 11 April 1992. Despite the gathering gloom I wasn't going to give up on this picture even though the only colour film I had with me was ISO 100. I had after all walked over a mile to get to this spot, which ironically is right next to the M6 motorway! Luckily the train came just at the point when I was considering a B&W only rollfilm shot.
