D400 returned to service on 5 October 1991, after suffering a power unit failure a couple of months previously. It's first run was the 1V10 10:00 Waterloo to Exeter St David's relief service, pictured here passing Tisbury in the pouring rain in the company of 50030 Repulse, which was no doubt included for insurance purposes, given D400 record over the previous year!
