D400 calls at Honiton station on 30 October 1991 with the 1O34 08:10 Exeter St Davids to Waterloo Network SouthEast service. After D400 was returned to service in April 1991, after being repainted back into original BR blue, it mostly seemed to elude me on my many visits to the West of England line. I saw it occasionally, but nothing like as frequently as either 50031 Hood or 50007 Sir Edward Elgar, both of which seemed to turn up whenever I ventured west!
