D6700 & 37714 Cardiff Canton approach Rothley station on 3 September 2022 with the 2A29 14:30 Loughborough Central to Leicester North service, during the Great Central Railway's Autumn Diesel Running Weekend. D6700 is in virtually as built condition, whereas 37714 is one of the 1980s 'heavyweight' conversions, with an alternator in place of the original DC generator, and ballast weights added to give a total weight of 120 tons, in order to work heavy freight trains.
