D6700 approaches Moira West Junction on 5 June 1988 with the Hertfordshire Railtours 1Z26 16:27 Coalville to Euston 'Coalville Cobbler' railtour. On the right can be seen the course of the former line to Nuneaton. This line closed as a through route in 1964, but a short section to Donisthorpe Colliery remained open until 1981.
