D6948 passes the partially completed reconstruction of Hailes Abbey Halt on 8 October 2016 with the 2C53 09:30 Toddington to Cheltenham Racecourse service. This was the first train of the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway's Autumn Diesel Gala. The original Hailes (or Hayles) Abbey Halt was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1928.
