D9009 Alycidon passes the site of Coates goods station on 16 May 2015 with the 1Z56 18:11 Kidderminster to Victoria VSOE 'Golden Jubilee Pullman' luxury railtour. Unfortunately it was running ten minutes late, which had made an amazing difference to the light at this location. At the booked time there was still a sunlit gap between the shadows, but given the scarcity of clear locations around the Kemble area, I wasn't going to move anywhere else at the last minute. The train could be heard for ages before it came into view, as it powered away from Sapperton Tunnel.
