D9016 Gordon Highlander passes Noss Point (near Britannia Crossing) with the 09:40 Paignton to Kingswear service, during the Paignton & Dartmouth Railway's Diesel Gala on 20 June 1992. Although the Kingswear line was opened in 1859, this section only dates from 1923, when a short section was moved inland to remove the need for two viaducts over Noss Creek.
