A brief burst of weak sunshine appears at just the right time, as Plasser & Theurer 07-16 Universal Tamper / Liner DR73271 and an unidentified Plasser & Theurer USP5000C Ballast Regulator pass the reception sidings at Aberthaw on 8 November 1996. DR73271 was scrapped at Booths, Rotherham, in 2012. The down platform of Aberthaw High Level station can be seen next to the signal box in the background. The station closed in 1964.
