The full consist being: DR79257, DR79256, DR79255, DR79254, DR79253, DR79252, & DR79251. This is one of three similar American built modular grinder units at work on the national network. Rail grinders are used to extend the life of lines, by grinding away irregularities and re-profiling the rail. This usually takes place at night and is both noisy and a spectacular display of sparks!
