The 5Q86 13:52 Long Marston to Eastleigh ECS passes through Shipton station on 1 June 2026, with Mk5a driving trailer 12801 leading, and 68023 providing power at the rear. This should have run the previous Tuesday, but was cancelled. Booked again to run this week on Tuesday, it then appeared as a VSTP working on Monday, so I correctly guessed that this time it might actually run! There isn't usually any reports of these workings until Moreton-in-Marsh, but on this occasion there was no report until Ascott-under-Wychwood, several minutes after it had passed me!
