With the River Severn running in reverse, as it approaches high tide, 150279 passes Wellhouse Nay (near Purton) on 28 June 2018 with the 2L71 19:58 Gloucester to Maesteg Arriva Trains Wales service. Just visible on the far bank on the left of the picture are some of the 'Purton Hulks', old concrete barges deliberately beached to reinforce the river bank. At this point there is a village of Purton on both banks of the river.
