Class 411 4-CEP 1574 passes Sevington on 16 July 1999 with the 16:29 Charing Cross to Ramsgate service. The first earthworks for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (HS1) can be seen in the background. Given my infrequent visits to Kent, and the large number of Southern EMUs, it is a bit of a coincidence that I have several pictures of 1574, and it certainly looked a little different when I saw it just over a decade earlier.
