158812 Yarm 3 April 1999

This is the longest Class 158 that I have photographed. 158812 brings up the rear of a nine coach formation, as it enters the very short Yarm Tunnel on 3 April 1999 with an unidentified working, possibly the diverted 11:25 Manchester Airport to Newcastle TransPennine Express service. This is the site of the original Yarm station, which closed in 1960. On the right is the site of the former goods shed, which survived until the mid 1990s. Houses now occupy the site.
