After working ECS from Aylesbury, 165018 approaches Oxford North Junction on 16 July 2011 with the first Chiltern Railways working of the day on the Bicester branch - the 2L04 07:00 Oxford to Bicester Town. It is running on the bi-directional up relief line, which enables these Bicester trains to be kept completley separate from the often congested main lines. If four tracks looks impressive at this location, it once looked even more so, as the rough road behind the unit marks the course of the former LMS line into Oxford. This was another double track line. |
