165126 Oxford (Walton Well Road) 13 June 2010

How many Turbo units can you get in one picture? Answer - eight, plus an interloper Class 168 Clubman! This is Oxford on Sunday 13 June 2010. On the right, 165126 heads north along the bi-directional relief line with the 10:56 Oxford to Bicester Town First Great Western service. It is passing the carriage sidings which as usual for a Sunday contain a full compliment of trains. The units nearest the camera are (from left to right) 166215, 165127, 165104 & 166213. In the background can be seen a most unusual visitor to Oxford - Chiltern Railways 168216, which has just moved into platform 2, after a brief wait in the down carriage sidings. It had worked in with the diverted 1V26 09:10 Birmingham Snow Hill to Oxford service, and would shortly be heading back north with the 1G22 10:58 Oxford to Birmingham Snow Hill train.
