This was a welcome surprise when visiting the Cumbrian Coast on 17 May 2002. Instead of the expected pair of Class 20s on the 7C20 08:12 Sellafield to Drigg tip low level nuclear waste containers, a single locomotive (20310) was provided, seen here passing Seascale, with the Sellafield nuclear plant in the background. Not unheard of, but certainly unusual and with the guaranteed prospect of a bonnet first working on the return. Just visible on the footpath on the left is a dog, who was vigorously and noisily chasing the train. An anti-nuclear protester?
