20310 passes Seascale on 17 May 2012 with the 7C21 09:20 Drigg tip to Sellafield low level waste empty containers. After having seen the loaded train an hour earlier, I was looking forward to this rare bonnet first working, but was quite surprised when a sudden burst of sunshine appeared from nowhere, nicely lighting the train against the dark background. Apart from the early days of the class in the 1950s and 1960s, bonnet first working has not been common on the main line, even with a miniscule load such as this.
