37010 & 37042 pass the remnants of the partially lifted down loop at Spetchley on 17 August 1996 with the Pathfinder Tours 1Z37 06:20 Exeter St Davids to Crewe 'Crewe - Chester Flyer' railtour. After arrival at Crewe, a pair of Class 31s would take over for a mini tour around the Manchester area.
