37707 passes Lower Basildon on Saturday 11 February 1989 with a rake of four wheel oil tanks. This is a bit of a mystery, as not only is there nothing in the working timetable to account for this, but the loco was seen a couple of hours earlier, heading in the opposite direction with LPG tanks. This presumably means there was a change over at Didcot, so is this a Didcot Power Station to Ripple Lane train of oil empties running on the wrong day? Any information would be gratefully received. |
