Another pair of 1980s built EMUs head off to the scrapyard. 37884 Cepheus passes South Marston on 11 August 2025 with the 5Q76 10:35 Wimbledon Park Depot Sidings to Newport Docks (Sims Group), taking former South Western Railway 455919 & 455915 on their final journey. Note the earthworks in the background. There will soon be houses in the fields to the north of the line here, as a huge new housing estate has got the go-ahead, massively increasing the size of South Marston village.
