37884 Cepheus approaches Finstock on 2 February 2022 with the 5Q94 11:31 Wimbledon Park Carriage Sidings Depot to Long Marston, conveying former South Western Railway EMUs 456022, 456012 & 456019 for storage. There was a bit of intermittent weak sun when I arrived, and it looked like the sun might drop out of the cloud in the west, but unfortunately that only happened after I got home! The Fawler ironstone mines, which were rail connected in the nineteenth century, were situated in the trees behind the locomotive. Even though this is quite local, surprisingly this is the first time I have revisited this particular spot since 1987!
