It has clearly been a long time since 47209 has been through the washer, as it approaches Wolvercote Junction on 14 July 1997 with the 4M79 16:50 Southampton Maritime to Lawley Street freightliner. Before it became completely overgrown, this used to be an excellent location for photography on a summer evening, provided you didn't mind the odd looks from the drivers of cars on the A40 road bridge, as they sat in the rush hour queue trying to get out of Oxford!
